Knee Spacer with Gentamicin

Knee Spacer Synicem évolution is a temporary implanted spacer that aids in the treatment of infected knee prosthesis. In the second stage, once the infection cures, the spacer is removed and the definite prosthesis is positioned in its place.
Offers various advantages related to the patient's quality of life during the treatment of infection and makes revision surgery easier, either in the positioning of the definite prosthesis as well as during patient's rehabilitation.

Spacer Synicem évolution is a sterile device, ready to use and available in many sizes. It is made up of two independent elements tibial and femoral- designed to reach the maximum balance between device and patient, and the fastest application procedure. The tibial component is formed by a plane base against which the femoral component articulates. Both components are placed in the area where the removed prosthesis was located, and are fixed to the bone using bone cement, mixed with antibiotic.
